P2.0 Installation of SHARK-NIR at the LBT platform

• Recurrence : once (unless deemed necessary to remove SHARK-NIR from the telescope platform)
• Duration : 2 days for preparation, 1 day for installation , and 1 day contingency.

Description

• Aligned SHARK-NIR is prepared for the Big-Lift and installed on the LBT platform.

Prerequisites

• SHARK-NIR is aligned and ready for the lift-off.

Procedure

• Look at AD4 document for the procedure and details.

Success criteria

• SHARK-NIR successfully installed at the LBT platform.
• Telescope is balanced.
• Connect all the cables and secure them.
• Reassure all the connections, nuts and bolts, etc.

Notes Note that SHARK-NIR is NOT installed as a single piece. The cryostat has to be disassembled from bearing before the installation can start. Please look into the AD4 document for details.

• Crew members' support for the preparation, lift-off, and installation of SHARK-NIR
• Crane operator (mountain bay, LBT platform)
• Safety officer
• Working platform installed in front of the Gregorian focal-station SX,
• Support for the installation of electronics in LBTI/SHARK cabinet

MB: Please specify that Cryostat has to be disassembled from bearing before the installation can start. Put AD number instead of link. Concerning recurrence, in principle is only one, however optical bench only might have very low chances of being dismounted at some point for refurbishment of components which might be hard to happen in place
