+  DM: Yes, SPHERE has a LSS mode. They do not take any preliminary images of star+planet without slit: the planet won't be visible in one-shot images (unless it is extremely bright). Just go to the position 
+      angle of the planet and start the observation. The only monitoring tool we have is to look at the spectra in real time: the planet should appear as a vertical line (not always so easy to spot anyhow). Is
