v1 v2 9 9 **Prerequisites** 10 10 • Authorize SHARK-NIR on the SX side. 11 • Atmospheric conditions: ? 12 • Atmospheric conditions: ? 11 • Atmospheric conditions: CLEAR 13 12 • Bad pixel map, Background or Dark, Flat-field, distortion map 14 • Cloud Cover : 15 • Astronomical Seeing : 16 • Sky Background : Any / Bright17 • Water Vapor : Any18 • Timing Windows : 19 • Observing Targets : 20 • Observing Filters : 21 • Detector Mode, DIT: 22 • Daytime Calibration Data required: 23 • Nighttime Calibration Data required: 13 • Cloud Cover : no clouds 14 • Astronomical Seeing : 0.8" or better 15 • Sky Background : Any 16 • Water Vapor : low 17 • Timing Windows : no need to observe during meridian passage (field stabilized observing mode) 18 • Observing Targets : TBD (target with known companion at separation larger than 0.4" from star and with contrast larger than 10^-5) 19 • Observing Filters : LSS observing mode, no filter 20 • Detector Mode, DIT: according to the brightness of tne target 21 • Daytime Calibration Data required: dark/background, flat, wavelength calibration 22 • Nighttime Calibration Data required: none 24 23 25 24 **Procedure** 26 • ? 25 • We observe for more then 1 hour the star with the LSS observing mode. We alternate the position of the slits from the position of the companion to outside the companion position to be able to create a library 26 of images to be used to subtract the speckles. An observation of the star without coronagraphic mask is also requested to allow a proper flux calibration. Also, we need an observation of a standard star to be 27 able to properly reduce the telluric lines. The observation is performed in filed stabilized mode. 27 28 **Notes** 28 29
