== P3.5 Check the acquisition **Procedure** == • **Phase** : 3 • **Status** : Draft • **Category** : Nighttime testing (functionality and operability) (C4) • **Recurrence** : once at commissioning • **Duration** : 1 hour(s) **Description** • Verify the acquisition sequence for SHARK-NIR **Prerequisites** • Atmospheric conditions: should be able to see bight stars on sky (preferably close to zenith?). • Authorize SHARK-NIR on the SX side. • Suitable bright enough target (including the possibility of performing AO). **Procedure** • Start the acquisition sequence: collimating the telescope to reduce the aberrations, close the loop and produce better ASM flat, NCPA estimation using phase-diversity algorithm, close SHARK-NIR tip-tilt+NCPA loop, and check the PSF quality at SCICAM. • Save telemetry (open and closed loop of the ALPAO DM). **Success criteria** • Successful acquisition sequence. **Notes** **LBTO support** • Support from LBTI/LBTO? • Presence of John Hill usually helps while collimating for first time. • Steve Allenson (as the TO) will be a great asset too. **Associated SHARK-NIR personnel** • JF, LM, MdP, MM (from AZ), DV? **Date performed and by whom**
