== P3.2 Telescope control – checking focus for different wavelengths ==
• **Phase** : 3
• **Status** : Draft
• **Category** : Nighttime testing (functionality and operability) (C4)
• **Recurrence** : once at commissioning
• **Duration** : 30 minutes
**Description**
• Focus the telescope and check for chromatic variations (using different filters).
**Prerequisites**
• Atmospheric conditions: should be able to see bight stars on the sky (preferably close to zenith?).
• Authorize SHARK-NIR on the SX side.
• Chose a star/field (or set of stars) which have emissions in all the required wavelengths to be checked.
**Procedure**
• Send the preset of the selected target.
• Focus the star for a given filter. If needed reduce the aberrations by changing/moving M2.
• Check if the same focus is good for other filters as well.
**Success criteria**
• No unexpected chromatic focus behaviour.
