P3.23 Wavelength calibration

Description

• Determine the central wavelength of each pixel for the long split spectroscopy observing mode.

Prerequisites

• Authorize SHARK-NIR on the SX side.
• Atmospheric conditions: AO working conditions.
• Bad pixel map, Background or Dark, Flat-field, distortion map

Procedure

• This calibration is performed illuminating the slit with the spectral calibration lamps with at least 5 known emission lines; background exposures with lamps switched off required.

Success criteria

• LRS: 10 nm (goal 5 nm), MRS: 1 nm.
