P3.16 Instrumental throughput and absolute flux calibration
- Phase : 3
- Status : Draft
- Category : Nighttime testing (functionality and operability) (C4)
- Recurrence : once every month starting from commissioning and then on request for accurate photometry (using CI and DBI).
- Duration : 20 minutes (per configuration, also depends on mag of star)
Description
- Throughput calibration to obtain absolute flux calibration of science targets.
Prerequisites
- Authorize SHARK-NIR on the SX side.
- Atmospheric conditions: AO working conditions.
- Bad pixel map, Background or Dark, Flat-field, distortion map
Procedure
- Observe a spectro-photometric standard star of known magnitude with no coronagraph and for required filters.
Success criteria
- Flux measurement better than 10%
Notes
- Same as activity 7.3 in AD4
LBTO support
- Support from LBTI/LBTO?
Associated SHARK-NIR personnel
- JF, LM, MdP
