v31 v32 12 12 13 13 **Prerequisites** 14 - Knowledge of Argos light source magnitude and the possibility of tuning its brightness (more info pending from LBTO, jenny?). In alternative we can change magnitude with our ND filters.14 - Argos light source magnitude tuning or ND filters internal to SHARK-NIR will be used to test different magnitudes. 15 15 - For the SN team: know in advance how many minutes of data can be downloaded from CRED2 or the ring-buffer size. At least barycenter position should be saved, in a format compatible with statistical analyses. Confirm if 10 mins are ok. 16 16 … … 20 20 Test A1. 21 21 - Close the SHARK-NIR internal tip-tilt loop. 22 - Take 10mins of data at the CRED2 (at loop frame rate) and SCICAM at 500 Hz.22 - Take 10mins (TBC) of data at the CRED2 (at loop frame rate) and SCICAM at 500 Hz. 23 23 - Introduce 0.5" seeing at the ASM and close the loop at 500 hz. 24 24 - Close the SHARK-NIR internal tip-tilt loop. … … 28 28 29 29 Test B1. 30 - Take 10mins of data at the CRED2 and SCICAM.30 - Take 10mins (TBC) of data at the CRED2 and SCICAM. 31 31 - Introduce 0.8" seeing at the ASM and close the loop. 32 32 - Close the SHARK-NIR internal tip-tilt loop. 33 - Take 10mins of data at the CRED2 and SCICAM.33 - Take 10mins (TBC) of data at the CRED2 and SCICAM. 34 34 35 35 Test B2. … … 37 37 38 38 Test C. 39 - Repeat the above steps of test B for the differ net selected brightness of the Argos light source (TBC which magnitudes, noting that max brightness should be mag 9th in R band)39 - Repeat the above steps of test B for the differentt selected brightness of the Argos light source (10th (max achievable), 12th, others TBC) 40 40 41 41 **Procedure for finding the field center** … … 46 46 47 47 **Templates** 48 49 **Notes** 50 From Jenny: Setting the argos light source is set by adjusting the shutter. There is no document outlining the magnitude ranges. The brightest setting is about 10th mag and it can be adjusted down to 17.5 in varying increments. The wfs can tell us the approximate magnitude setting and allow us to tune. We know approximate settings for varying typical magnitudes from previous tests. We do expect to work on tuning the wfs Flux calibration to ensure the feed back on the wfs is accurate and we obtaining the optimal loop parameters for a given magnitude. The Flux on the wfs is translated to a magnitude. 48 51 49 52 **Success criteria**
