== P2.2 Instrument operability and functioning == - **Phase** : 2 - **Status** : Draft - **Category** : Daytime testing (functionality and operability) (C3) - **Recurrence** : once after instrument installation at telescope platform - **Duration** : 2 days **Description** - The functionality and operability of individual components/subsystems are tested. This is followed by the checking of the internal alignment of the instrument using the light source within. The final step is the performance of the system. **Prerequisites** - All electronics and services are up and running. **Procedure** - Initialize all the motors/sub-systems. - Check the functionality of all the motors (home position, named/nominal positions, and reaching software limits). - Check the working of all the light sources. - Using the on-axis diffraction-limited light source, check the internal alignment of the SHARK-NIR. - Check of on-axis optical quality using phase diversity and of the relative positions of the coronagraphic masks. **Templates** **Success criteria** - Motors and light sources are working as they should. - The internal alignment is preserved. - Performance of the system is acceptable. **Notes** **LBTO support** **Date performed and by whom**
