v7 v8 1 == P1.7 Verification of the operability of the motors and light sources==2 • **Phase** : 11 == P1.7 Check the working of the internal NCPA routine == 2 • **Phase** : 2 3 3 • **Status** : Draft 4 • **Category** : Unpack, Assemble, and Verification (C1) 5 • **Recurrence** : once 6 • **Duration** : half aday4 • **Category** : Unpack, Assemble, and Verification (C1)??? 5 • **Recurrence** : once at commissioning 6 • **Duration** : 0.5 day 7 7 **Description** 8 • Checking the working of motors and light sources within SHARK-NIR 8 • Check the working of the internal NCPA routine (phase diversity + wollastone (DI-DBI)) 9 9 10 **Prerequisites** 10 • SHARK-NIR connected to LBT network. 11 • Electronics cabinets on. 12 • DM best shape uploaded (shape minimizing internal aberrations) 13 • The cryostat should be running and cooled down. 11 • SCICAM cooled down. 12 14 13 **Procedure** 15 • When the services are up and running, after the motors are homed, each of the individual motors is individually tested for their different named/nominal positions. 16 • The light sources within SHARK-NIR are used simultaneously to check the working of the motors looking at the optical feedback. 17 * Check the CRED-2 and ALPAO-DM SW and optical feedback. 14 • Run the Phase-diversity routine using the images taken with the SHARK-NIR internal calibration sources to measure the NCPA within (excluding the deployable arm) 15 18 16 **Success criteria** 19 • All the motors can reach the named positions / nominal positions. 20 • All the light sources are working and confirmed through optical feedback at the SCICAM. 21 * CRED-2 AND ALPAO-DM working normally. 17 * Internal NCPA routine works fine and the PSF shows improvement in its quality. 22 18 23 19 **Notes** 24 20 • 25 21 **LBTO support** 26 22 … … 29 25 **Date performed and by whom** 30 26 27 **Comments** 31 28 32 **Comments**33 * LM: Mmmmm, not super sure what this test means. The operability of the motors has already been tested when you initialized them the first time (in the sense, you know they are moving). If with "reaching the nominal position" you mean that they reach the foreseen number of steps for each saved position, I agree this can be done now, while if optical feedback is required, this is better to be done after the internal alignment of the instrument has been checked.
