== [[span(style=color: green, **P1.2 Opening of boxes in LBT Hall, inspection of the contents and installation of units on their handlings** )]] == - **Phase** : 1 - **Status** : [[span(style=color: green, **COMPLETE** )]] - **Category** : Unpack, Assemble, and Verification (C1) - **Recurrence** : once - **Duration** : 1 day **Description** - Unpack the boxes carefully and visually inspect the components inside. **Prerequisites** - All the necessary tools and safety features to unpack and move. **Procedure** - Carefully unpack the boxes containing the SHARK-NIR opto-mechanical components. - Visually inspect if all the contents are safe and secure. - Inspect if the tilt and shock sensors are activated or not. - Check if there is any damage to any part of the shipment. If yes, note them, take photos, and communicate to the respective insurance party (if needed). - Set up the handlings for the cryostat and the optical bench. Install the corresponding onto the handling. **Templates** **Success criteria** - No damage to any boxes. - No damage to equipements. - No hardware out of location. - No shock or tilt sensors were activated (TBD). **Notes** - See AD10 for more details. **LBTO support** - Crane operator (mountain bay) to lift and move stuff. - 1-2 crew to support unpacking and to move. ** Result** - An external inspection of the boxes was performed, and all seals were open. A few outstanding notes. - Box-1: some small signs of humidity were seen on the top panel. - Box-6: the rusted parts were in a terrible shape and were taken out to be cleaned [this started in Padova but got worse during the trip]. - Box-13(the one with 5 and 10 G up-down triggered sensors): was found without seals (we discovered the day after that they were opened by Brian or Chris). Inside content was fine at visual inspection. - opened box-1 to take out the instrument and re-mounted it empty to be transported to base camp for storage. - inspected Box-5: all fine. It was located on a shelf in the high bay for later use in October (?) run. - Marco cleaned the rust out of the 2 parts (this was already seen partially in Padova after packing the box), put silicone on them, and re-placed them in Box-6. Later in the afternoon Jacopo and Marco placed all extra pieces from box-7 into box-6. Box-6 is now equipped with wheels. - unpacked Box-7, and took out SHARK-NIR handling and the rest of the parts. The ties used to keep in place the metal parts on the bottom were all broken, but parts were shifted by a few cms and no issues were seen. - SHARK-NIR was installed onto its handling thanks to LBT crew support - The Ultrashock Sensor that was mounted on the Instrument provided the following data: - Pressure variation in the range (698.30 / 1017.50) mbar - Temperature variation in the range (13.6 / 30.4) °C - Humidity variation in the range (35.7 / 68.6) % - Shock along the X-axis in the range (-4 / 4) g. One peak of around 4g on (06/24/22 - 07:24) - Shock along the Y-axis in the range (-4.0 / 8.6) g. Two peaks of around 8g on (06/21/22 - 13:09) and (06/22/22 - 01:39) - Shock along the Z-axis in the range (-0.2 / 5) g, w/o any strong event **Date performed and by whom** - Maria, Luca, Davide, Marco, Simone, Jacopo - LBTO staff
